Home Remedies To Get Rid of Lower Back Pain

Lower back pain is a common health problem today. The causes for lower back pain include injuries, diseases, infections, and even inheritance but majority of people suffer from lower back pain due to the weight of the upper body which puts loads on the lower back.

Thus, the first rule of back pain management is to learn habits that reduce the load of upper body on lower back.

Home Remedies For Back Pain:

  • Sleeping with a pillow between the knees while lying on one side may increase comfort. Some doctors recommend lying on your back with a pillow under your knees.
  • No specific back exercises were found that improved pain or increased functional ability in people with acute back pain. Exercise, however, may be useful for people with chronic back pain to help them return to normal activities and work. These exercises usually involve stretching maneuvers.
  • Nonprescription medications may provide relief from pain.
  • Ibuprofen (Advil, Nuprin, or Motrin), available over the counter, is an excellent medication for the short-term treatment of low back pain. Because of the risk of ulcers and gastrointestinal bleeding, talk with your doctor about using this medication for a long time.
  • Acetaminophen (Tylenol) has been shown to be as effective as ibuprofen in relieving pain.
  • Topical agents such as deep-heating rubs have not been shown to be effective.
  • Some people seem to benefit from the use of ice or heat. Their use, although not proven effective, is not considered to be harmful. Take care: Do not use a heating pad on “high” or place ice directly on the skin.

Healthy Foods for Your Healthy Hair

The human body can not function properly without the right supply of foods. Foods are the main source of energy for the entire body, and for hair growth as well. Eating the right foods allows your body to create the energy needed to keep your healthy hair and also to keep you from losing your hair.

Healthy Foods:

Dried fruits and Nuts:
Packed with sulfur, iron, and biotin, dried fruit and nuts are good sources of vitamin E, which increases blood circulation in the scalp and inositol which maintain healthy hair roots. Walnuts are also a good source of zinc, such as almonds and cashew nuts. Lack of zinc can cause hair loss.

Fruits:
Apples, bananas, berries, melon, and oranges are the best fruits that provide your body with proper vitamins to reduce hair loss.

Dark Green Vegetables:
Broccoli and spinach are two great sources of vitamin A and vitamin C, which produce sebum. Sebum is an oily substance, secreted by your hair follicles and the body’s natural hair conditioner. Dark green vegetables also provide calcium and iron.

Bean Sprouts:
Bean sprouts contain essential nutrients for healthy hair known as silica and must be on your shopping list for foods that prevent hair loss. The body uses silica to help absorb vitamins and minerals so that even if you eat a lot of vitamins but you’re not consuming enough silica, they would not be much help.

Water:
Consume at least eight to nine glasses of water per day will help transport the nutrients needed for your hair and help keep hair strand hydrated and strong.

How To Get Rid of Belly Fat

The accumulation of fat in the midsection of the stomach is known as belly fat. Belly fat is a very common phenomenon in both men and women. However, it is not very easy to get rid of the fat. The process of cure of belly fat is very slow and sometimes very difficult. Belly fat is harmful as it may be the cause of several other ailments like high blood pressure, heart diseases and thyroid. While a proper diet and regular exercising are the best known methods, the modern health system has introduced surgeries and other medicinal ways to bid goodbye to belly fat. Listed below are some such ways.

Start Interval Training:
If your abs are buried under layers of fat, no amount of crunching is going to help make them visible. If you want that truly flat stomach, work in some cardiovascular exercise between your abdominal exercises, to shred fat while building a solid core.

Stop Skipping Meals:
Believe it or not, when you skip meals, your body raises cortisol levels, increasing cravings and storing fat. Eating small meals and snacks throughout the day can actually pacify cravings and boost your metabolism to prevent fat storage.

A Balanced Diet:
A diet that is rich in essential nutrients such as proteins, vitamins, calcium, iron and other minerals will help to keep the body in shape. The meals must however be distributed over the whole day; the person must never overeat. Taking five to six small meals in the entire day means that a person will never feel hungry. It is hunger that often leads to binging on unhealthy snacks.

Exercise Everyday:
A diet is incomplete if it is not accompanied by exercise at the proper time. Cardiovascular activities are best suited for reduction of belly fat. Since cardiovascular exercises keep the body in constant movement, it leads to increase in the metabolism rate of the body and higher burning of calories. Also indulge in strengthening and aerobic exercises to help in the toning of the stomach muscles.

Long Undisturbed Sleep:
An adult must get at least eight hours of sleep every night. Undisturbed rest during the night keeps the metabolism rate in check. If a person does not get enough sleep during the night, the rate of metabolism generally slows down, leading to accumulation of fat in the middle of the stomach area.
